However, for Indigenous peoples we don’t know as there has been limited research in this context. The article provides a strong rationale for IHACC to address this neglect.

Federal funding of climate change and health research in Canada

This article audits how the Canadian federal government has supported climate change and health research over the last decade. The study highlights that investment in research is increasing, but there has been limited funding of adaptation research, particularly from the granting agencies. This needs to change and IHACC offers an interdisciplinary research program to catalyze intervention-based adaption research.

Are developed nations adapting to climate change?

This article examines if and how developed nations are adapting to climate change. We find that adapting is occurring but reporting is patchy. While there is an emerging literature on the Arctic, it has generally focuses on adaptation at a very general level and usually part of impact studies. IHACC will leverage and develop this existing body of scholarship to move towards adaptation intervention and planning.
