Mya Sherman is currently in Peru to share the results from her thesisMyaShernan_Geography_finalthesis. She will be presenting her results to the Shipibo community of Panaillo as well as local institutions in Yarinacocha, Pucallpa and Lima. She will be sharing with various knowledge-users the pamphlets that were created in collaboration with the IHACC team, which can be found here

New Publication: Adapting to the Effects of Climate Change on Inuit Health
In this article, Ford & al. propose key considerations for adaptation decision-making in an Inuit context drawing upon the understanding of the determinants of health vulnerabilities to climate change in Canada. The article, which is open access, can be found here
IHACC Young Woman of Distinction
Congratulations to IHACC undergraduate research assistant, Jolène Labbé. Jolene was recently recognized as the winner of a Women of Distinction award by the YMCA-YWCA Guelph in the category of young women. In addition to her work with the IHACC field team in Uganda, Jolène has participated as student co-chair of the University of Guelph's United Way campaign, helped with strategic planning for a primary school in Kenya, acted as a peer helper, and worked with the multi-faith resource team in Guelph.
